My Agfa Silette

Nice picture. If yours is a Type six, what model is mine? Has Prontor SVS shutter and Color Apotar lens.

Bump! I'd like to know too as I saw this one in our local charity shop at a bargain price.

Yours is also a Type 6, just with a different lens and shutter. German manufacturers always made cameras for different price points from the same model. I haven't seen a Type 6 with an Agnar lens, but I'm sure they are out there. Agfa progression of lenses was Agnar, Apotar, Solinar, and Solagon. Agnar and Apotar lenses were three element, the Solinar had four, and the Solagon had six. The Solagon usually is only found in the highest rangefinder equipped models. Type 6 refers to the last style design of the Silette, and covers all versions, including the Super.

(I realize now I should have posted this thread in the Scale Focus 35 section of the forum.)
