One of the first 747s to arrive at JFK

The crew chief, getting ready to taxi the Boeing 707 I used to work in, named, "Jet Clipper Star of Hope."
I took this shot from my usual seat, which in earlier times had been for the navigator. Later it became (just on this one aircraft) where I sat to operate an engine performance monitor system (EPMS). I actually was a field engineer with Emerson Electric, on assignment with Pan Am.

And the left seat and instrument panel. The cluster of 16 instruments at the center, four across by four down, I used to photograph with my Leica M2 during flight, so that we could later compare the instrument engine readings with the ones recorded by our performance monitor.
