There is another fellow on ebay who has been trying to sell his collection as a whole, at the sum of ~$50,000 BIN, for about two years now. It hasn't sold yet, and I doubt it will. Neither will this.
It just makes no sense not to break it up, unless of course you don't actually want to sell.

Hmm - I live about a 90 minute drive from Ely ...
Specifying local pick up usually kills interest as well. Imagine how many months of dedicated selling shifting that lot one by one would cost in time and effort.
One of the big London auction houses just announced it will no longer hold classic camera sales as there isn't enough interest and I think this collection flooding onto the market individually might be enough to depress prices for a few weeks on some items.
You could show this to your significant other and tell her that things are not so bad in your house after all.
