Just received a Fed3 from Alex-photo, The camera was just as advertised and was received just 9 days after he ship it to me here in NY, it even came with the original box with the owner manual and inspection certs from the factory.
This is the second item purchased from him and in both cases have had no problem and both have worked great.
As a side note I ordered a 135 mm lens from someone in Russian Feberation and it has now been 31 days since he said he shipped it.
Has anyone had a problem with extra long delevery from the Russian Federation, seem like packages from the Ukraine get here in 9 to 12 days.

I have experienced long shipping times from places other than Moskva and St Petersburg. Some of the more remote areas take some time.

I bought a Kiev from Alex-Photo with the same results and delivery time.. and bought another Kiev from RedJoe, which was much nicer but took exactly 6 weeks

Sounds like it's not unusal for long delivery form the FSU, thanks for the feed back guys.

No its not unusual, Bob. Presumably the lens was a Jupiter-11 with a FED/Leica thread?

Alex-photo is "the man" as far as I'm concerned for FSU purchases. I've bought from several sellers there, never had a bad experience, but Alex really delivers when it comes to quality and speed of shipping. I've also had 9 day turnarounds from him--- plus he's a very friendly person to deal with. Can't say enough good.

Right on, I feel the same as you do, just wish I could get all my FSU camera equiptment from him.

The first "working perfectly" Jupiter-9 lens I bought from some one else. And it is now a lovely paperweight. The second J-9 I bought from Alex-photo and it really is working perfectly!
In my case the entire transaction took 15 days--but I mailed a money order to Western Bid here in the US and then Alex-Photo sent me the lens.
Truly a pleasure to deal with!
