I've hit a bit of a stumbling block w.r.t. buying a CV 35/2.5C from Cameraquest. They won't accept a credit card from South Africa, plus they will only ship via FedEx at a cost of $125, which I am sure you will agree, adds too much cost to a $209 product.

Is there any other place online that I can buy this lens from? Cosina have absolutely no representation in Africa. :bang: I have tried looking at B&H but they don't have it in stock.

TIA

Try Robert White in Britain.

They had problems accepting a foreign credit card, but were kindly about taking a bank check. Delivery of camera and lens and bits and stuff was (from memory) £45 international next day.

I looked at their site, but they are also outpricing themselves by making $1 = UKP1. Something doesn't quite add up.

I think what I'm really looking for is somebody a bit more high street and competitive in the pricing stakes.

I could buy one for you here in Korea and send to you, BUT I think the insurance would be a bit high-- the postal service here knows they have a theft problem!

Want me to check as to total?

Thanks Bill, but I think I have found a solution to my problem in the form of Adorama. Don't know why I didn't think of them to begin with. The lens is $20 more, but the shipping is $45 less and I can use my credit card.

Welcome to Britain! One USD routinely equals one GBP when it comes to photogear.

Come to mainland Europe and $1 normally equals Eu 1. Nothing new there. 🙂 Best things, though that when we go to the US not only is the exchange rate of the $ in our favour, the retail prices are even better.
