Amazing M8 Photos

sepia toning

i don't see them as sepia toned. at least not in the traditional sense.

nice to see some non-test pictures. i like the colors in the speedster shot.

also he seems to have a 16-18-21 tri-elmar. those are the first photos i've seen (digital or film) from that lens.

It is funny how people think sepia toning will give film look to digital image 😀

Now, come on. Sepia toning? That gripe is just stretching things a little bit.

You can do it. Say it with me...

"These M8 images are nice and very film like" 😀

Apparently he's a moderator on the Leica forums...probably has very close ties to the company. I'm not sure but it sounds like he is saying these pictures are from August???

Yes, that is what he said, so it must have been early beta firmware.

Very Leica Like

Very Leica Like

I have Canon digital gear, but I see the Leica look and the personality of the glass shines through. I'm very impressed. Now I want to see what my old 2.8 Summaron will do. Will it glow?

I know you were being sarcastic, because these are horrid examples.

More M8 shots by a Leica-Camera-User.com member...stunning.

Ywenz...do these look like your camcorder 😉

Can't see the sample images, but obviously you don't know anything about camcorders and you didn't know what I was talking about when I dropped the Panasonic DVX100 reference. What I said wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yes, I'm no camcorder expert but I do know that when people refer to photos looking like a camcorder, it's not usually (if ever) a compliment.

I doubt ANYBODY thought that you meant it as a compliment especially considering that you have dissed every single M8 photo posted thus far. How convenient that you can't see these...too bad. They are quite nice.

Please post the screen shot showing these images from the Leica forum. So that those of us who does not have an account on the Leica forum can see them.

Any chance of seeing a side by side comparison of a shot made with the M8 next to one made on fine grain ISO 100 or 200 film with the same lens on a regular M body? Only then will I consider taking the M8 seriously if the posted images are close in rendition.
