It seems to me that if Amazon had "In Stock" X100s a couple of days ago, that this means that their pre-orders had been filled. I don't see other Internet vendors selling from stock at reasonable prices. I've got the hood, adapter, flash, memory, B+W UV filter, bag, strap and my eye on a case, but no camera, so I placed an order with Amazon shortly after the "In Stock".
Anyone else view Amazon as the best U.S. bet for ordering at this late date?

I ordered mine from amazon last week (out of stock at the time). Just got an email from Amazon- the camera should be delivered to me on Thursday so can't hurt to try.

There are multiple reports of guys (on X100forum) that ordered from Amazon on May 4th, and received confirmation today. I truly think Amazon is the best bet for a late order. Or, calling small shops in the middle of the midwest to see if they happen to have a few unsold ones.....
Best of luck. I cancelled my May 4th Amazon order today, since my J&R pre-order came through.
