#USA28-37 Snake River, Wyoming, 04 June 1979. I went on a rafting excursion here for a few hours. Mostly calm with occasional moments of excitement/terror. I thought it was great at the time, but now 45 years later I'd never do this, after seeing in the intervening years how dangerous it can be.

Lynnb...... I look forward to your additions, but I remember squirming, sitting through friends' endless slideshows of their summer vacations. How time & media change perspective 🙂

LOL… my turn to squirm😂. You’ve brought back similar memories of enduring those slide nights, secretly praying for some excuse to present itself to release me from the tedium. Even an acute attack of gastroenteritis would have been preferable.
I beg forgiveness and apologise for my deficiencies in editing. I’ll endeavour to be more selective as we progress 😁

I'm sure Deardorff38 likes them too... I believe I triggered a funny memory for both of us! I remember our slide nights and home movies used to be projected onto a bed sheet hung across the front window of our lounge room, facing the street. We provided entertainment for everyone whether they liked it or not 🤣

05 June 1979 About an hour in Salt Lake City, enough time to see the Assembly Hall and a quick look at downtown before heading off to the Great Salt Lake.
