I have been thinking about casting up from Carbon fiber a new viefinder surround that would incorperate a slot/lip that could hold a Canon A series eyecup. If I do this (no idea how soon) would anyone else be interested in one?
I have a buddy who hand makes extreme high performance model airplane propellers and he has all the stuff, mold making, and resin needed to do this. I would just need to machine up or fab up a pattern and once the mold was made it could be used to make a whole lot of them.
I have been looking at my L-1 thinking about how an eyecup could be added to it without any damage to the camera I'm getting close to a solution to that as well. does the P and VT hseries have a simular eyepc. as the L-1?

The Vt eyepiece is identical to the L1. They unscrew, and you can clean the lenses in the "turret" once the eyepiece is off. Helped my L1 Viewfinder out quite a bit.
