I know it is a bit off our road. But as many of you know the Fed 3,5/50 aka Industar 10 is different from the Industar 22/50. Quite different if you ask me. I prefer the Fed 3,5/50 for its contrast, sharpness in the focus area and softness out of the focus range. Its a superb color optic too.
Now I came up with the Idea to 'fit in' an Industar 10 into an Industar 50 mount. Of course I did a first attempt. The aperture ring fits, but the lens unit is a little smaller and needs to be moved more backwards. A job for the Lathe. We have one luckily. Just have to score a spare Industar 50 and a Fed 3,5/50 with a worn mount.
Just to share thoughts.
Anyone did this before? I would gladly hear about it.
