Turns out I had not overexposed the garage shots. I had not previewed them before scanning. Argh!

I really like pictures of old stuff like this! The first and last are my favourite. Good work, Paul and Robert.

Paul, the tonality in yours is very lovely, partly due, no doubt to a superior artist and technician at the controls, and partly due to that gorgeous weathered wood you captured on film so nicely. I like 'em all. Thanks for the comments, too.

Wow, thank you, sir.

Something I just noticed about yours is the wonderful detail in the flora. It sets up such a nice contrast with the texture of the tumble-down building ...

Paul, it was one of those days where the light was just right. I had been at a local antique car show earlier that same day and most of what I shot there had a beautiful glow just like the leaves here. the foliage here seemed to be gobbling up the garage almost is trying to help bricks and wood disintegrate back into there raw materials. I'm afraid someday I'll pass this spot and find the building is gone. making pictures of this sort of subject seems to presage that. I guess, better to have the pictures than to have nothing in the end.
