My cup runneth amok.
My replacement CL arrived today. I crushed my first one when I fell on it while hunting in November.
This one came from another forumner; pretty nice shape, and freshly Golden Touched. Now I'm certain that the first one I had was sick even before I killed it. This new one just feels... different. Focusing, especially.
Gonna put a cheap roll of color though it tomorrow, just to see...
I could have spent another couple of hundred or so dollars and gotten an M2 or an M3, but I like these little styrofoam bricks, warts and all. The size is perfect for me; it fits my pockets, and my hand. Weight's spot-on, as well. Internal meter- I like that. And the lens mount's the right one- oh, my, yes. I printed (wet) some stuff last night, pictures I'd shot with the 40mm Summicron on the first CL, and dayummm! They basically printed themselves.
This I have learned: there is nothing, but nothing, that beats a good piece of glass on the camera when one wants to waste less time testing in the darkroom and spend more time printing in the darkroom. The pictures from the 40 even look good out-of-focus.
Yeah, I'm a convert. They can write "Argus" on the body, for all I care, but give me Leitz factory glass. It's yummy.
Just ruminating...

Good luck with that. I didn't. What did you pay for it and what condition is it in?

...just to see the delightful LIGHT LEAK.
Big fog-comet on half the frames.
