Android and Galaxy S5 users

2 apps I recommend. The only two I own anymore after trying many.
One for shooting and one for editing with iPhone and maybe others (I don't know).

Shooting: Camera+ (Camera plus)

It is basic basic simle. Easy to seprate focus point from exposure point making backlit scens and other exposure issues easier to work with. It's so simple that apple should simply buy it nd incorporate the method into it's phone. Seemless.

Editing: Snapseed (now owned by google)

Filters... sure. Many of them. Basic editing though as well. Excellent controls for local and global editing. Those filters can be heavy handed if one does not behave themselves. If you do this program does offer great ability to adjust, crop, and convert color to B+W as well as ad frames.
For the more adventurous. Tilt and shift is fun sometimes. Some other funky stuff to that can make a basic image become a hipstamatic looking thing.

Cheers!
