Annie Leibovitz - Life Through a Lens

Didn't PBS' "American Masters" do a show on her?
That one wasn't half bad - I wonder if this is a similar look at Ms Leibovitz.

If there's one thing you can garner from her - regardless of how many assistants she uses and lights and such - is the posing that goes on in her portraits. Really cool stuff that and great inspiration for guys like me that can't pose people for $hite :D

A very interesting documentary on the photographer and her persona, mostly covering her long term photographic relationship with John Lennon / Yoko Ono and the Rolling Stones.

Yes, she is a master of portraiture and she is quite assertive in the positioning / posing of her subject(s). She was using a variety of camera makes and formats.

By the way, there was a recent thread on how easily and/or fast one could load film on to a Leica M6. Well, she loaded one "in the blink of an eye" while talking to her interviewer and hardly looking at the camera as she was doing it!!!

i happened to see the PBS American Masters documentary, and there was a very cool segment where she was photographing Mikhail Baryshnikov in a dance studio using a Leica M with motor drive. It was very interesting and informative to watch how she worked with her subjects.
