Hey All,

Well, here is ANOTHER 1st roll thread. I know that some think poorly about these, but here goes anyway.

I just got done shooting some Kodak BW400CN (which I dislike, last roll, thank goodness) with the Nikon L35AF that I got for 99 cents. The camera performed well with no out of focus pics. The sharpness of the lens out did the performance of the film. I will be shooting the camera again with some better film and some filters to darken the bright Arizona sky. But for now here are a few pics.

I really like that chair shot! I recently picked up a Canon AF35M, and have been thinking of picking up on of these Nikons to go along with it.

How is the film advance noise with the L35AF?

Thanks Justin,

The film advance on the L35AF is still loud, maybe a tad quieter than the AF35M and somewhat "smoother". It doesn't sound quite as abrasive as the Canon-opener. :D

And now for my stupid pet trick. I had been shoothing a roll through my AF35M as well and decided to finish it up along with the L35AF so I could take in both rolls of film. I finished the Nikon and then started snapping away with the AF35M. I got to 22 and then 24 and then 25.....26; I thought that maybe I had a 36 frame roll in the camera and I forgot. I got to 36 and the counter stopped, but the camera continued to click away. I got to 38 and knew that something was not quite right. I did a rewind that took 2 seconds and knew instantly that the film had never advanced and I had 38 exposures on ONE frame. I had failed to look at the film advance indicator and was beaten by the camera. :bang:

I have reloaded, checked the film advance and will try again.
