Another 30mm question for TX-1/Xpan

Does one have to use the included viewfinder or can the camera viewfinder works as well. I understand from some that you focus with the camera and frame with the additional finder. Any comments?

I usually focus with the camera viewfinder and then frame with the external 30mm finder. The only exeption to this is when I need a lot of DOF. In that case, I would use the distance scale on the lens to set the hyperfocal distance.

The X-pan is a great camera. It always puts me in a "mood."
