so i just read review, and im happy that new lenses especially 35mm , fast and cheap are coming out... but whats happening guys? is TTArtisans same as 7Artisans? and will every month new lens company appear? also what do you think about all that appeared recently? are you happy or is too much to even realize what is happening and to make choices...
ill attach review i read.. https://www.35mmc.com/24/09/2019/ttartisan-35mm-f-1-4-asph-review-by-vincent-bihler/#comments

Apparently TTArtisans and 7Artisans are entirely separate companies, at least according to this article: https://leicarumors.com/2019/09/07/7artisans-ttartisans-updates.aspx/

I suspect that 7Artisans is just a brand commissioning a factory in China to manufacture their lenses, and another company has managed to convince the factory to sell them the same lenses with a slightly different nameplate. The lenses otherwise look completely identical, so the chances of another company building copies of them from scratch seem pretty slim.

A nice budget option for sure, but nothing particularly appealing or special (that I can see) in terms of image rendering. Personally, I'd pony up for an Ultron 35/1.7 which is a phenomenal bit of kit.

Dog eat dog. Somewhere they have giant seagull factory which makes all of these lenses. More resellers of the same, less price it is going to be.
Waiting for same lenses with less price and Partisans name on it.

It is not 1.4. And it is way to phenomenal on exterior. I’d rather get 35 1.4 II for same money. Made like RF lens must be made.

Hello,

Actually the lens I reviewed is really interesting to me... Especially according its price. There is another review with digital captures this time.

It's in chinese but the page can be translated with google chrome. At the end of his test, he is comparing directly against the Summilux 35mm ASPH. The TT Artisan is honnestly VERY close.

Agreed, 1.7 is not the same thing as 1.4, also the odd knurled chrome body is off putting to me. The TTartisans lens looks like it performs very well and it has the classic RF ergonomics. I already have a nice 35 for my M but this would be great for the extra stop without the tradeoff in quality and with a manageable size (unlike the 7artisans 28mm).

My lens indeed came with a screwdriver. And I see screws that can be adjusted... But my lens came with dead on calibration (at least for trix and portra sharpness).

So, does Lux have same amount of barrel distortion? TTA 35 1.4 ASPH is one tenth of the price of used Lux, but distortion is very noticeable.

I bought it, but sent it back, as the integrated/fixed hood was not aligned properly (looked really weird), and it had coating damage on the side of the front element.

Results are quite ok. Less distortion then the 7artisans 35f2

Now mine was a pre-production version as far as I know.

Anyway, it's on its way back (for a while now), I hope to be able to exchange it with their upcoming 50/0.95, as in the meantime, I bought a summicron asph.
