Our first and only meet-up in March was quite successful (but we could have had more participants.) I'm now wondering if we should start thinking of a repeat performance in the near future.
I had offered a door prize of an archival print from any file provided by the winner, and Richard Karash recently claimed his prize. He was quite pleased with the print. I'm now offering this as a permanent feature of future meet-ups. Of course, door prizes from others would be most welcome.
So, if you're interested, please post suggestions for locations and approximate dates. We can narrow down the choices toward a consensus as we get more input.

Harry, that's a very generous offer. Harry's B&W 'carbon on cotton' prints are terrific. I'll be there, and I'll bring your print to show.
Last place in Brookline was fine.

Sounds good, but perhaps we should try a different area of Boston, to get the ones who can't always get to Boston itself. Maybe north of Boston, or south of Boston, or west of Boston. Any of those would pull in a lot of new people who either don't get to the city, or simply avoid doing so. All those options can be easier to get to, and have fewer parking issues.

Norm,
The last meeting was actually in Brookline (near the Boston line) and there were no parking problems. But I take your point. Perhaps you could suggest some alternative locations and see if the idea floats. I'm certainly not Boston centric.

Man, we need a bump in Boston... someone took away spring and gave us a canadian summer
just kidding...
I was in Norway for a couple of weeks and the weather was a lot better there! In Norway!!!
I'm open for whatever kind of meeting, if I can make it. June is super busy for me, but schedule something and I'll do my best. Brookline is nice for me, but it can be anywhere!

Ummm, Italian street food! I can remember the San Gennaro festival in Little Italy (NY); so good!
I posted just one pic; no others have shown up. For that one, see the previous Boston meet-up thread.

I wanted to make the first get-together, but couldn't get away. But schedule another, and I'll do my best.

Meeting up is a wonderful idea...I live in Brookline without a car, so if the meeting is outside Boston area I might have trouble
But then again I'll keep an eye on this thread, this looks a lot of fun (I only just noticed that the first meeting happened two months ago...)
Would parking be a problem in Somerville area? If not I'd like to offer there as a suggestion, but I don't know many places there though...

Hi! Mods–Is there a way to move this thread to the Boston rff group section?
I'm up for meeting, but my schedule is so tight through June that I'm hesitant to make any suggestions, as I may not be able to make them in the end. I *might* be able to meet on Saturday June 25th–maybe a 50/50 chance that I could be there in the afternoon.
The north end festival (there are a few) might be St. Anthony's: http://www.stanthonysfeast.com/
August 26-29.
Cambridge Carribean Carnival is September 11th.
Again, I'm open for whatever. We could just walk around the city, too.

Hey guys, looks like I'll be in Boston Mid July. I'll be with my girlfriend and won't be able to abandone her, but if you happen to se a tall skinny Asian with a ponytail and an arrogant chin beard, its me.
Good luck with your next meet-up.

I live in Allston and am out shooting around the city nearly everyday. I'd be interested in an rff meet up as well. Also, if anyone just wants to go shooting or grab a beer and talk cameras in the meantime I'm game for that too.

Our previous meeting was a great get-together over (beer and other) drinks and snacks. I very much enjoyed meeting other RFFers and discussing gear. (After seeing Savvas's A&A strap, I ditched the Leica strap.)
I wouldn't particularly care for a group-shoot type meeting; just not my style. But, of course, one doesn't preclude the other.
However, if we are to have a meet and greet, just as before we'll need specific recommendations for date and place. Let me start by suggesting that a Sunday afternoon is probably a best fit for most of us. Also, a Boston-metro venue is likely to draw the most participants. Do we have a consensus on that, at least?
And as an incentive, don't forget my door-prize award.
