along with another take on Bangers and Mash, this time at an Irish style pub in Fountain City. Too much driving ahead for a Guinness to go with it, alas. Took a bunch of back roads down and different roads back for a very pleasant drive on a cool but sunny day.

These were mostly shot with my usual preferred 20-40 Limited zoom on my Pentax K-5. However several were taken with my new to me HD DA 15/4 Limited wide angle prime lens. That’s a very fun lens when you use it correctly!

Should invest in a couple of polarizers though…

Thanks for looking!IMGP5931.JPGIMGP5940.JPGIMGP5941.JPGIMGP5943.JPGIMGP5947.JPGIMGP5955.JPGIMGP5962.JPGIMGP5970.JPGIMGP5973.JPGIMGP5974.JPGIMGP5976.JPGIMGP5982.JPG

These remind me of the terrain near Canberra (Australia).

So the inevitable question - where were they taken?

Overall, most excellent work. The camera and lenses did what they should, even without the pola..

Mostly in the hills heading down towards the Mississippi River in Western Wisconsin from Eau Claire to Trempealeau and back. About a 150 mile/240 km round trip. The back roads are where where I find the fun stuff and can most easily pull over to take shots. I also stopped by one of my favorite state parks and got my annual park sticker as well as a couple of the photos 🙂

More pleasant in high summer with the top down on the convertible but still a nice drive on a sunny day.
