Another dropped R-D1...Another problem?

So, my wife dumped down my bag on the hard floor thinking there wasn't anything much in it...unluckily my R-D1 was!

These are the possible issues, but I haven't had it long and have hardly had a chance to use it so i'm a little unsure if these are real problems...

The focus patch seems to have shifted to the left. It definetely isn't centered.

There is a colour/light cast on the right side when looking through the finder. Its a kind of gradient from white to clear. Its not noticeable when I view with my right eye but is when I use my left eye. Is this a problem or just something I hadn't noticed before. It doesn't impinge on the guides in 50mm mode but does (just) in 35mm mode, but as I said its only visible when viewing with my left eye...

So, am I imagaining this problem (is this a property of RF viewfinders) or do I need to think about repair?

FWIW, I just did these views through my VF so you can compare...

VF-far (on the left) was taken with the lens set to inf.
VF-near (on the right) was taken with the lens set to 1m.

You can clearly see the VF (50mm) frame shift down and right as the focus gets closer. You can also see the tilt in the RF patch that means I can't get the vertical alignment right through the whole range.

I can't get your white glare, but there was little ambient light. In strong daylight you will often get extraneous light in the VF, if your eye is not exactly central. I would suggest moving your left eye around the VF window, and see if the problem is persistent.

ps has anyone found a good shop in UK that can fix this tilt in the RF patch? I'd rather not send it overseas, even though I know DAG has an excellent reputation. Any advice welcome.

Are you trying to tell us that you have dropped more than one R-D1 body in the recent past?

LOL, no...thank goodness. I was merely pointing out that I was the latest in a growing line of forumites to have dropped their prize and joy!

As for my specific R-D1...well, the colour cast is definetely stronger in direct sunlight. Whether that means its 'normal' or not I don't know. Will attempt to catch up with other R-D1 users soon and compare and contrast I guess...
