Another film processor going in Boston...

Hello, All,

I was saddened to hear this last week that Cameras Inc. is closing its doors at their Arlington and Somerville locations in Boston at the end of April.

I thought we were safe for a while with this lab. They have told me that they have seen a huge growth of young folk wanting to shoot film and learn B&W technology. I guess it still didn't make the numbers add up though. What a shame.

Where to now...?😡

If you're willing to cross south of the Charles into Boston proper, you'll find quite a few places that still do all types of film processing. If I recall, Colortek processes pretty much everything (color, BW, medium); Hunt's still does BW; and Ritz Camera might still be doing processing too.

Of course, when I was attending college in Boston, I shot only color negatives and I had those processed at a local CVS.
