I have been working hard on integrating the old style gallery with the forum. I think I have success. Soon we will be using :

www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/

DO NOT try to create anything there now. It will just get deleted. But I like the look of the integrated system.

Jorge,
Alright! Looking good so far.
But you need more photos, or more children to photograph - LOL.

Jorge, the new setup seems to show RECENT PHOTOS, MOST POPULAR IMAGES and RANDOM IMAGES. Two questions:

- Will section LAST COMMENTS as available under the current setup go? That would be a pitty, I think, because this section facilitates tracking of comments and communication. I see there one of the decisive improvements over the predecessor gallery, and think dropping it would be a huge step back.

- If MOST POPULAR IMGAGES section is to stay at all, by what reference are pictures picked for for that section? I hope it's not star ratings, as this would showcase probably a rather unrepresentative cut of the database.

Anyway, keep up the good work Jorge, we love the Gallery!
Kind regard, Gerold

recent comments will stay, random images will stay, most view will be added, highgest rated can be added.

Anymore thoughts or feedback on this? I for one thinks it looks pretty cool integrated into the forum.

Jorge,
I like it! I think it is an improvement over the current Gallery. I agree about the integrated look. Also, I never thought I paid much attention to the 'Users Online' in the original gallery, but I ended up missing that feature in the new gallery. I also agree whole-heartedly with Gerold. I REALLY like the 'Last Comments' feature in the current gallery, and the ability to page back several days—not just the last dozen or so. That is truly the best feature of the current gallery. Thanks for putting so much into RFF. 🙂

Looks good Jorge !!! I love the idea of the integrated system, a lot of us were used to the old gallery 🙂 Thanks a bunch for all your effort !!

Looks good so far, I don't like coppermine so you've got my blessing.

We have phpbb2 and copermine integrated in our CMS but we have a programmer with more jobtitles than hair on his head 🙂

Attached you'll find a picture of the brains behind www.fotoschnack.de.

Take care Austin! Dr. Evil is back!

Couldn't see anything using the link you provided but glad to hear the random image feature will stay. I quite like how a random image would appear on every page of the old gallery, quite a lot of times I end up viewing it cos there are so many interesting images.

I didn't quite like the look of the comments feature in the new gallery. It seemed a little cluttered and located too far down the page. The old one was cleaner and easier to read.

Hi Jorge

I opened the link you provided in your first post. I got something that didn't open to a gallery. What have I not done?? Here is a cut and paste from the page that opened
