Here's a guy creating stunning images with his wife’s M8 in Thailand (he's an ALPA shooter with a Phase One 45 digital back- now there's a couple of High-End digi camera users!)

He notes issues with banding so I can only hope his is one of the first run M8 cameras.

ah... little disappointed as I was hoping he was a real ninja
There is definitely some personality in that set
That being said, his Alpa portraits are quite exquisite; the tonality is silky smooth.

That ALPA is a sexy devil no? On topic however what do you think about the scene lit by a camp lantern where food is being served, steam rising up from the hot liquid? Or how about the picture of his wife holding that rather large ALPA?

OK, it doesn't state that they are ALPA pictures and some state Canon
but they are still pretty sweet

Moose and Squirrel (and now here’s something I hope you’ll really like)

Nachkebia,
Perhaps you could recommend a good cell phone cam replacement?
But seriously that backlit "dinner" shot is excellent and the shot of his wife, if not a marvel compositionally at least shows the kind of clarity the camera is capable of? (and without looking plastic?) Likewise I'll bet some of the PS gurus here on RFf could make the B&W portraits a whole lot more interesting without compromising the Noctilux's traits?

Hologon on an M8?
Hologon on an M8?
In one of his series he's using a CZ Hologon. Is this the G mount hologon as opposed to the M mount Distagon?
How do you get the Hologon to fit the M mount? Anyone know?

Hologon on an M8
For anyone interested, I've just discovered that he adapted his G mount Hologon to fit the M8. (http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1038&message=21307304).
Probably a very expensive modification.

Yes Richard, I noticed that too. He's probably very rich
But I'm with Nachkebia on this one - his pictures are not very.. convincing

Yes, there are outfits in Japan that will convert Contax G mount lenses to LTM or M mount (a place like S.K. Grimes in the U.S. could probably also do it):

And, yes, it's expensive (but cool nonetheless).

Ted: I agree on the Noctilux shot; save for the banding, it's really good.
