The big Cibichromes are not cheap...
I know I could do a search - but what is the grey grad issue?
Also the tripod incident?
Hi
Have taken many wonderful 5x4 images but sold my kit recently in order to buy a 75 lux. No regrets at all. The cost of shooting E6 is around £5 a pop and then per scan or print it is very steep. I dont need bill board soze prints.
The grey grad issue is simply that using a grey grad filter on a rangefinder is a bit of guess work (obviously with 5x4 or SLR one can see when it is correctly placed). Also a grey grad small enough and neat enough to use with a rangefinder is currently unavailable. The solution is to bracket in RAW and blend separate exposures of land and sky later. This does get a bit tiring for a number of shots and ballancing the land and sky at the time of exposure using grad filters would ultimately be better.
Ah the tripod saga. (See the thread "is this a write off")
Best wishes
Richard
