Just taken delivery of this neat little Baldina,-dating from, I think-about 1938?, f2.9 Xenar, parallax compensated finder, and covered frame counter, it looks and works so nice, at £18 - I could not resist!. As yet I have not had chance to try with film, and wonder if anyone has one, or used one?

I have a Super Baldina (pretty much the same thing but with a rangefinder). It's a cool little camera and works well. Attractive too, once polished up and restored. Mine has a Meyer Trioplan lens though.

Aren't new toys fun?🙂 I just got a new toy in the mail last week. A Voightlander Vitoret. What shutter speeds does the Baldina have? My Vitoret has 3. 125,60,30,+B. I hope to run across a nice little folder some day.

Speeds run from 1sec. to 1/300th., B+T (in the old no.'s - 5th. 10th. etc.) the glass is uncoated and right now I'm wondering weather to try with a color film,-as I have plenty in the fridge, but no B+W, I've never tried color with uncoated lenses, - will it be cr*p?, - any tips?

With the modern films, it shouldn't be an issue. Coated/uncoated lenses were mainly a problem with the crappy color films of long ago.

Found a roll of FP4 in the drawer,-did a few test shots and 'clip test', and am quite pleased with this seventy year old glass! 🙂

Uncoated lenses are generally OK with modern colour films. But do try not to shoot into the light and always use a lens hood. Very often I found uncoated lens to give less contrasty results but they are also better in shadow details. They will also excel in overcast days.
