Hi
I'm new to the rangefinder cameras, previously my main camera was a Minolta 300x that has served me well for 18 years ( I still have it ). I then made my first
mistake I bought a Minolta 7s off ebay in very good condition..............Then I bought : 4 Yahica Electro 35 GSN's, Canonet QL 17 GIII & QL 17, Ricoh 500g & 2 x RICOH ZF, Minolta Hi Matic E, G, 11 & another 7s, early Canonet (first model I think) and a Minolta 7sII. I'm just wondering doe's the urge to buy these older/classic camera's subside?
So far I have put some film through a couple of the camera's with various degrees of success. A couple of the cameras have neede light seal replacement freeing up sticky shutters and cleaning soldering corroded battery terminals. I'm
learning as I go but find it quite rewarding when one of the none starters fires into life!. Anyway just thought I would say hello after just being sat on the fence reading everybody else's post's.

Cheers David

if the attachments work, one was taken with the Minolta E(fairground) and the other was the Ricoh 500G(fence post)

Geez GAS without being a member first. Must be viral.

Welcome, you have some nice shots there. Those 500g's are real sleepers.

Welcome!

I am a newbie too. This is such a great place and has re-ignited my passion for photagrophy and buying more cheap neat toys! Otherwise known as a GAS attack. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)

If you are not developing your own B&W film you will soon be exploring that. I currently just got a small film developing kit off ebay with beautiful Kindermann tank and reels and have a film scanner on its way!

There are so many wise helpful people here that are pushing me along in the right direction and just letting me have fun.

I like those shots. The colors of the first and the expressions and action of the second are great.

Strange how RF-mania seems to strike similarly in everyone. . .Welcome to RFF - looks like you'll fit right in.

How is AUstralia doing these days? I've always wanted to visit, but it's just so far away . . .

Welcome and congratulations on your recent purchases. I fear they will not be your last - I only had three cameras and no leica glass when I joined this place.

Great shots BTW.

Regards

Welcome David, I didn't have an RF when I started looking at the site, I had one camera and three lenses when I registered and now have four of the things and err..... a few more lenses. Looks like you might end up getting even more kit 🙂 most of us do. Nice shots by the way.

Welcome also Ricardo. The GAS will continue.

Have fun with the home processing.
