Another Olympus Interview on m4/3 and 4/3, etc

"A benefit of the development for both Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds can be seen in the new image stabilization system that we are using in the E-620 which is 20% smaller. We will surely also see a similar type of mechanism in the Micro Four Thirds product."

"Excellent..." -- Mr. Burns

Wow! So that answers everybody's questions about image stabilization in Oly's upcoming MFT camera. If it is "similar" to the E-620, it would have to be in-body!

Yes, very interesting. I that stood out to me too.

I don't see in-body stabilization as a surprise. Olympus has used it exclusively, due to patents on lens stabilization. Or am I missing somethiing?

Perhaps not, but it's nice to see the quote nonetheless, as it's really the only thing I'd really like to have that the G1 doesn't...the G1 has stabilization but only in the lens. Having it in the body means all adapted lenses would have stabilization. :)

I will say that after reading the interview, I want to own an E-3, an E-30, and an E-620. :D
