Second try . I took my son and a mate to the Maritime Museum today for the last day of the school holidays. On arriving I was surprised and delighted to find that there is an exhibition of the photographs of Ansel Adams running through to the 8th Dec. The photos shown go right back to some taken with a Box Brownie in 1918 when he was 16 with the latest being taken in 1969. The main theme is water and there are a total of 73 prints. Worth a look if you're in Sydney.

cheers,

I saw this advertised just recently. I plan on visiting next time I manage to get back home to Sydney. $15 per adult, from memory, which doesn't seem unreasonable.

I have seen something like that in SF, CA. Well worth it. Too bad Ansel didn't travel to New Zealand, from photos I've seen of NZ he would have had a field day or 6 months.

Thanks for that.

Also, the World Press Photo exhibition closes tomorrow, 28 July - it's at the State Library in Macquarie St.

I am keen to cross the ditch to see this. Am currently in Maui waiting for the Tropical Storm Flossie to leave the Islands because my new Hassy Arcbody hasn't left the bag yet:(

Thanks,

I'll be heading up early November, probably Melb cup long weekend to check it out.

Cheers,
Michael
