Received some old Adox Doku-Ortho (din 10) film today. In the package was this information from Minox.
"This film has a special blue anti-halation back coating .... The coating may not disappear completely during delvelopment.... To assure complete elimination of the coating , remove the film from the tank - after fixing - and immerse it for 2 minutes in a 2% solution of monohydrated Sodium Carbonate (1/4 oz. Sodium Carbonate in 12 1/2 oz. water). The film is then washed in the usual manner.
I have no idea if this works with all anti-halation backing or not but it is something to try for those that have had problems with it.
