We frequently visit John Lewis department store in Bluewater Mall .
Probably about 2 years ago , I played with a Fujifilm X-T1 @ around £1400 if I recall ?
i was intrigued , but content with my X-Pro1 .
with the arrival of the x-Pro2 adjacent it dropped to £1200 .
Much later , it was £850 where it remains until clearance a few days ago .
Finally , I bought it @ £427 less box and charger .
i am deelighted with the camera , but will miss that anticipation !
... maybe I will visit that X-Pro 2 in ANTICIPATION of the X-Pro 3 LOL

Yes, in cameras, golf clubs, cars, etc. it is far more economical to buy last year's model than the latest and greatest.

I think I've been taking that "buy last year's model" a little too far lately. 
The last couple of years I've been buying cameras that I lusted after but couldn't afford when I was in high school and college. I bought an OM1 from the good colonel because I had always wanted one. I still haven't gotten the meter working again, but it cleaned up beautifully and it takes lovely pictures. Back in the day a used OM1 was listed at $150, back when I had all of $100 in my bank account after paying tuition, buying books, and paying for my term's housing, room, and board. Ohhhh... I lusted after that camera.... It was such a delight to finally get one in my hands.
