zeiss hologon ultrawide
zeiss hologon ultrawide
:angel:hi ! i tested a zeiss hologon ultrawide on 1972 when i was a zeiss dealer
on FNAC shop in Paris France!...
i did a roll of black and white film 36 exposures, and as the results where
fantastic i could sold the camera to mister LISSAC the owner of a chain of
optical glasses in France!...
the camera was equipped with a f 8/15 mm fixe mounted lens without any
focusing because of the very important depth of field!...
the camera was sold together with a hand grip in order to avoid taking picture
of your feet or fingers!...
and also with a special filter from zeiss in order for the differrence of lighting
from the edge to the center of the picture!...
it did accept the interchangeable backs of zeiss contarex to be able to change
from color to black and white in mid films:you needed two backs for that!...
the angle of wiew was of 110 degrees free of distostion if the bubble level
on the upper part was centered!...
it's price complete was 5800 new Francs (with one euro = 6.55957 francs and
1 euro= 1.586 us dollar...
i did two searchs one for the picture of the camera on my favorite search
motor:i found on e bay one man of poland that was selling one for...4200 us
dollar ,complete and brand new...
but unless the taxes and custom fees where very high in soviet poland, between 1972 and 1974 it seems an excessive price!...
paiement by visa or bank to bank payement was possible!...
so if your bank says O.K!...
for the Zeiss interchangeable contarex backs ,i found two on e bay,for 30 us dollar each:it is a good price for the 1972 price was 1100 new Francs!...
by the way it seems that only 1,400 Hologon had been manufactured and sold througout the world!...
in paris we have two workshops repairing the hologon and the backs
😛hoto cine MS and Vilma!...
yours truly!...
peter wolf.
I'm kind of interested to see if any of you have used this and any thoughts/examples you might have on it!
On a zeiss contax or not, show yourselves!
