Any alternatives to Canon's ST-E2 in terms of IR focus assist?

I'm talking the ability to focus in the darkest light possible. Even pitch black. I have a few Pentax SLRs (ZX-L & ZX-30) that can certainly benefit from it. I really find the flash assist very inaccurate.
