I was a Bippy in the early 1970s.

I recall walking down the hall during a crit session and hearing Dobro shout "I ask for photographs and what do I get?! $hit!" all the while stomping on the quivering student's print.
Not unlike boot camp the first few months, wasn't it? Apparently a kinder and gentler bunch have taken over.
I was in Santa Barbara a couple of years ago and discovered the Montecito Alston Road campus is closed. Disappointing.
Anyway, if you attended the now more impressive sounding "Brooks Institute of Photographic Arts and Science" give a shout and perhaps share a memory or two.
FYI, as many of you are in Asia or Europe: Brooks is, or at least was, one of the four premier photography schools in the USA the others being Art Center in Los Angeles, Rochester Institute of Technology in New York and Southern Illinois University. Not sure if that has changed.
