Ever since leaving I've been desperate to get back to Kathmandu. Probably with a 4x5.

I'd say Havana, camera I'm not so sure but most likely to take what I use most often just now which is a Minolta Dynax (Maxxum/Alpha) 700si.

I was working in Bilbao, Spain around 1996 and we drove back to Madrid...I don't know what road we took but that country side is where I'd go with my 4x5 View Camera...
B&W film and maybe some Kodak Ektar...

I remember traveling through there on a train once and thinking the very same thing.

Any big city, Paris,Rome, London, Tokyo,New York for places were I have been recently. Soul, Buenos Aires, Brasilia, Shanghai places were I haven't been yet. Leica M2, 35f1.4 Nokton SC and a bag full of TriX - and possibly a 21 for the back-up body.
I grew up in the "boonies" and I am profoundly suspicious of Mother Nature - she always seems to be out to get me (bugs, mud etc). Any place that does not have a cafe' within hailing distance is out!

The remotest city I've ever spent time in was Kashgar. I figured I'd be the only guy on the street there with a Leica and a 35mm Summicron. Then I ran into James Delano, sporting his M2 and a 35/2.8 Summaron, which was his entire travel kit for 3 weeks in Xinjiang. He travels light.

From experience:
Chicago, with an MP and M6, and 3 or 4 lenses.
Toronto, with an M7, D-Lux 3, and D-Lux 4.
NYC with an M2 and M6 and some lenses.
Paris, with a pair of IIIcs; 25, 28, and 35mm CV lenses, and a collapsible Summicron; and a D-Lux 3 in the photo vest.
These are all very portable outfits I can carry in a photo vest plus (if needed) a Domke F5XB.

We were in New Orleans not that long ago (place looked great too), and my Voigtlander Bessa RF was right at home. Perfect town for an old folder or even a Graflex on a tripod. Fits right into the scheme, and no one gives it a second glance.

1. I've visited Tokyo 3 times, but still a #1 place I'd love to go.
2. Anxi, Fujian Provence, China, Where my parents' grandparents from...
3. Tibet
Sony A65 w Sony Zeiss 16-80.
Sony did a pre sale in Taiwan for the ''not ready for the prime time'', A77 and A65...
Seems these cameras still have bugs...People were asked to return the cameras to Sony...
Should I trust these, 'translucent mirror', EVF cameras?

Hoping to do it next year.. Istanbul with my M6.. I also hope to fund an M9 by then, but that's perhaps just a fantasy.

My M4, my 21mm SA and my 50 DR 'Cron shooting Kodak Plus-X. In Fallujah, Iraq. But only when the city is at true peace.
Aside from that city, pretty much any place I've not been before.
