The GA645 that's been in my hands for three weeks had the shutter release fall off today. :bang: I've sent an inquiry to the Fujifilm repair center in Markham Ontario, but has anyone had any experience with them?

I don't know where Quispamsis is, but Camera Wiz fixed up mine a few years back.

Quispamsis is in Eastern Canada. I've heard good things elsewhere about CamWiz, so I'll keep them in mind if I strike out inside my country and have to pay duty & tax on my own camera when it comes back in.
Anyone else? (Canucks with Fujis are a rare bird?)
Thanks!

I called Fuji repair center about two years ago and they honestly reported that they work on digital cameras only; all old film cameras they send to somebody else I forgot the place in Oakville or Burlington. Then I used some reputable repairman in downtown Toronto; and that was a mistake. Now, since begin of August of last year my Fujica waiting for service in Camera Wiz. So, if you decide to send your camera, call Frank first and ask if he has spare parts; otherwise you'll wait really long.

Oh, and Fuji center was near HWY 10 & HWY 401 in Mississauga. Do they really moved to Markham?

After talking to just about everyone I could track down, the GA's going back to the mothership in Edison NJ. Steve S was a treat to talk to and was really helpful with all my questions and concerns. UPS is taking it across the border Monday.
