Any experience with Photographers' Formulary, Inc?

Just received a box of Beutler High Acutance Film Developer. It was $9 US for 12 liters of working solution. I've read in the past about this stuff but had never seen it in a shop to try. Now I have some and will be using it in the next couple weeks. I know it's for films slower than 200 ISO. I am using it with 50-100 ISO so no problems there.

Anyone have any experience with the Photographers' Formulary developers?

No experience with their film developers but I've used plenty of the TF-4 fixer and have now switched to TF-5. No problems whatsoever.

I use there tf4 fixer for film and paper, i have used liquidol and 130 paper developers, and have stop but have not used it yet.

I used to use a two-part developer they make for T-Max films, and thought it was quite good. (I switched back to T-Max developer because it was simpler to process with one developer.) I use TF-4/TF-5 fixer all of the time. The Formulary's stuff is of very good quality overall.

I've been using the TF-4 fixer the last few months and it's been terrific. I also have some Barry Thornton developer that I've yet to test out. This weekend I'll mix it up and give it a whirl!

Beutler is one of the cheapest developers you can have. It does not go well with all films, it is not fine grain, use it on slow films. For me it is a standard for TMX, Delta 100 and Efke 25. Provides IMO a bit different tonality with outstanding sharpness. Don't agitate to much. For TMX and Delta 100 I am using it at 1+1+8, at 20C for 8'. I mix my own from chemicals from Photographer's Formulary, a company I like very much, nice people, and the only as far as I know provider of photographic glycine. I am also using FA-1027, very good stuff.

Ditto on the 130 Developer here, and lots of the other print developers and toners & testing kits. Never tried any of their film formulas that I recall. Their Amidol print developer (not the Weston formula) is wonderful, it was my standard for a long time. They are nice folks.

...and it's worth noting that they are exceptionally responsive to queries posted over at APUG. They seem to really know their stuff.

Yeah. Great folks. My preferred source for Phenidone, sodium sulfite etc. Life is not long enough to experiment with all the developing soups they carry! An embarrassment of riches.

My experiences with Formulary have all been great. Using their products has been rewarding for my film photography as I have used WD2D+, PMK and Liquidol developers.

I also use their TF-5 fixer, as well as their Pyrocat HD . Love both of them.

In the past, when I used to do some alternative processes, I've gotten chemicals from them. They've always been easy to deal with and put out a quality product.

I've bought PMK Pyro kits (recently) and many bulk chemicals from them, over the years. A Good Resource.

I use their TF-4 fixer and their PMK developer, and I used to buy bulk chemicals from them to make my own toners. They make good stuff.
