any Mamiya ZD users?

Got one of these monsters on a hunch and it really is a nice (if dated) camera. Apart from the weigth this is the nicest digital I have around. Even with the bulk it represents everything falls into place, each buttons falls under a finger and is logically placed. Every needed parameter has a button or dial, no dual functions, no need of the menu. Really great.

I cannot understand why this line never cought on (well maybe the first came too little too late) but apart from that it is fun to use.

So are there any other users here of this camera? Care to share some tips?

I've never used the integrated ZD body, but I had some brief time with the separate ZD back for Mamiya AFD cameras. (same sensor in both)

It's a lovely sensor with a remarkable way of rendering colours and textures. I'd highly recommend processing the files with Capture One if you can - it might work with the free DB version for digital backs, but I haven't tried this.

Obviously high-ISO performance is null, given that things quickly fall apart above ISO 100. However, if you're downscaling a bit and aren't too, you can get away with 200. Daylight, strobes, or a tripod are going to be your friends here.

I'll try to get that software. But my first concern right now is getting exposure right. I have a feeling this paricular camera burns out the whites very fast. Haven't tried with a handheld meter yet.
