Light Hunter - RIP 2010
In looking over some of the focal lengths I'll be using and given the R-D1's frame lines, the Nikon Varifocal view finder looks like a worth while device.
Any one using one?

Yup - I've got one: used it mainly for my 75 mm and 90 mm lenses, but haven't used it much recently, as I sold the 75 mm, and modified my R-D1 by adding extra guides for 90 mm to the R-D1 viewfinder.
It's an excellent viewfinder, with less distortion than the cheaper Tewe zoom finder. There's a little bit about the Nikon finder on my R-D1 website: http://www.richcutler.co.uk/r-d1/r-d1_04.htm

I used one.
I find them a little too large on Ltm Leicas, and prefer fixed focal lenght finders.
