Leica LTM Any opinions on this Leica IIIc K with 200/5 Lens?

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Stephen,

I'm far from an expert on wartime Leicas, but I do have three black Leicae from the 1930's, a II from 1932, and (2) III's from 1933; the painted bits one this camera look a lot more greyish than the black on my three Barnacks.

That Lens and mirror-hou7sing are quite the hunk of gear...

Looks gray to me...compare to the black lens cap.

I wanted to say the same as splitimageview. On my monitor the camera looks gray.

The 35mm lens seems to be coated, so it is not the same vintage as the camera.

I've never seen neither this 200mm lens nor the mirror housing.

Erik.

Just checked Jim Lager's 'Wehrmacht Leica' book, and it doesn't appear that it was a Luftwaffe-issued camera (and obviously there aren't any markings on the camera indicating as such). The last entry that Jim has for a Luftwaffe IIcK is 390450 on 7/3/44.

Hi,

My usual sources say the body is a IIIc and from 1943 and the lens is from 1941.

So nothing unusual there but I'd expect engraving on the back of a grey IIIc ...

Regards, David

That reflex housing looks vaguely familiar to me, struggling to remember a manufacturers name...not Meyer Gorlitz maybe? Quite a few people made their own versions of PLOOT before the post war Viso and copies.
