Love to see how these rigs wear. Saw a silver Zeiss Ikon ZM wear some of the silver worn off. It did not look good. What about some these non Leica black paint bodies? CV Bessa's or black ZM's?

They don't brass, they're made of a magnesium alloy, like rally-car wheels .. Leica have yet to catch up, and continue to use brass ... like they use for carriage-clocks

I've had my R2A for 2 1/2 or 3 years now and the only "brassing" so far is on the hot shoe:
The rest of it isn't showing any obvious wear yet. Just lots of dust

that is the plastyic bodied R. r2m/a on up have magnesium bodies.

so everyone's CV Bessa R2,3,4/A,M is in perfect shape? Still would like to see how these bodies have aged.

Mines had some paint rubbed off on some of the corners, white alloy showing through.
Sharpie pen, and it's good as new. Well that's what the dealer did before he sold me it.
Traded the body in a batch for an M3. Still no brassing though
