hi, looking at trying a m8, would rather have a user m8 , don't have to worry about scuffs and bumps, what should i pay ? all that seem to be for sale are clean examples any leads thanks and have a great weekend

I would try to get an idea of how many shutter actuations it has before you buy it. Also, check for vertical lines at high ISOs, rangefinder misalignment, and back/front-focusing. I've had all of those issues with a used M8 I purchased in January--issues I'm still trying to resolve after twice having already sent my camera in for service.

As for price, look around on the forums like this one, GetDPI, etc. as well as eBay to get a sense of what they're going for. Good luck!

Somebody sold one for only $1675 a month or two ago, so please, keep these cautionary tales going strong so the price continues to drop!

I just read that used UK stores used to have many, but are now dwindling down. I'd get one while you can. An original (not 8.2, not 8.u) is going to be as rare a car as an authentic '70s 911 RS. Just give it a few more months ;)
