I watch the FSU cameras on eBay and over the last 3-4 weeks I've seen a pretty steady up-trend in the prices of most 35mm FSU RFs. Anybody else seen this trend or am I imagining this?

I'm sure you're right - my own impression is that prices have risen constantly over the last few months. The rising popularity of FSU gear and an inevitably diminishing supply explains much, but there also seem to be many new sellers, eager to make a fast buck. Given recent rises in postage costs, sellers may also have raised their prices to compensate for cash they once creamed from mailing charges.

yup, price is higher, less J-8s to be found on Zorkis now too, good demand for this lens on its own, from C V camera owners etc.

I just got a Fed-2e with Industar 2.8/52 for $9.99 ... of course shipping will be $25 from Siberia.
I bought from this guy before so I'm fairly confident it'll be an OK sample.

FSU prices

Just something to throw in - I was digging through some old photo magazines. In the 1973 Popular Photography buyer's guide was a listing for a new Zorki-4 with Jupiter-8 for $69.95. I have paid between $16.50 and $30.00 for late 50s and early 60s engraved models.

I've noticed an upturn in the price os lenses recently but I think actual Zorkis have gone down a bit. They may or may not have I-61s on them.

Time to rest with FSU equipment, and purchase instead the finnest SLR and RF Japaneese gear from the 70's and 80's, whose prices are free falling right now. Two days ago I purchased the famous Tamron 500 reflex mirror, like-new with case and filters for $210 before shipment. Pay attention!

Cheers,
Ruben
