Anybody found copy of Minutes to Midnight?

Powell's of Portland (http://www.powells.com/biblio/62-9783869302058-0) is showing 25 copies in hand. After being rebuffed by the EBAY sale, I selected Powell's (just down the street from Seattle!).

thanks for posting this, i placed an order. i noticed the number in the warehouse didn't go down after my order, though, so i'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

I've been chasing this book for a loooong time. I ordered two copies from amazon.gb and from a local Australian retailer, hopefully at least one of them ships!

Michael

local australian retailers are normally useless, you have to import.

Especially useless when it comes to a great Australian photographer with a book of photos from Australia.
The AUS retailer is the backup. Also ordered through Amazon. I'll see how its going in a few days and order another (can't hurt to have 2...)

Canadians: Chapters' site claims to have it in stock.
I'm not a big collector of photo books, but I recognize Trent Parke's work and Stedl's print quality reputation. I may order it.

Also ordered one through Powells. We'll see what ships...

Looks like extra copies have made their way through distribution, at least in the UK and US, and are priced near retail. Search Amazon and Abe Books.

I doubt these will be available for long, especially at this price - photobooks are printed in low quantities (typically 1000—3000) and are increasingly not reprinted or re-editioned (even if popular) in order to appease collectors (i.e. they're limited editions, in the same way as photographic prints).

Thanks! Just ordered mine from Abe. Still a few available!

Ebay seller I linked above just discovered a "technical error" with my paid order, hence a delay. We'll see...(edit: shipped note from seller, maybe it's a go)

Sorry - I've been informed that there will be no reprints. ..

Received this reply from Matthias Wegener, Steidl's sales and marketing guy, today:

"2500 copies; the second run is scheduled for September 14."

Of 2014 I assume.

What? They're doing a reprint?

I just got an email this morning that my copy was shipped out. I paid 29,49€ (incl. s/h) at Bol.com, the Dutch 'Amazon'.

1 printing in 2 batches? I assume Steidl knew they were going to do 2500 copies and just spaced the printing out for whatever reason.

Received a copy today, have yet to open it. My Russell order doesn't look promising, an email today stated out of stock, at least 2 week wait--which could mean till Sept. 14.
