I'm heading to Beijing for the first week of November as I have an exhibit opening at a museum there.

Just curious if there are any RFFers there.

Also open to suggestions of any sort (photographic, touristy, foody, etc) as I actually haven't had time to really research.

BTW, details of my exhbit and opening reception:

Yep, I am here. Other than me, I think it is pretty quite. Occasionally I will see a person or two with M8 or M9's but that is usually at fairly big tourist spots so they most likely don't live here.

For photographs, check out Three Shadows.
For touristy, check out any of the big ones (The great wall, The forbidden City etc - or just wander the hutongs)
For food, any street corner is where I usually eat. The street food and small restaurants all have fantastic food.

If you have any specific questions or whatnot, let me know.

Wandering the hutongs is a good bet. I was there this time last year, the 2nd or 3rd time I visited. People aren't uptight about photos like they are here.

You should set a day aside to see the Wukesong Camera Mall...quite a place.
