I just got some new cobalt blue goatskin from cameraleather. Yes, I'm going Hollywood with my chrome M3. That will balance out my stealthy BP MP. Then I'll have a camera for when I'm wanting to be left alone, and another one for when I want people to notice me. 😀

Anyway, I want to cover the screws on the front body that are usually seen on an M3. Covered in black vulcanite/leather, the black screws blend in very well. But I sure don't want to appear tacky and be seen with black screws clashing with my cobalt goatskin! 😱

Anyway, has anyone ever done this and tried to hide the screws? Don Goldberg (DAG) has told me that Leica used the same screws on other bodies, such as the M6, but the holes were just countersunk on the body. Don said I could also file the tops of the scres lightly, as they are slightly dome-shaped. Anyway, it all seems to make sense, but as I begin to remove the old vulcanite from the M3, I just thought I would ask if anyone else has ever done this, and might have any tips that I'm not aware of.
