Based in England. The product seem pretty innovative. Since I'm still very fresh to printing I'm wondering if the Analyzer Pro might be useful. Making test strips is pretty tedious. This analyzer seems more sophisticated than others I've seen on the market. If anyone has experience with this company/products please indicate. As always, very appreciated.

i use the analzer Pro all the time. It is a brilliant design - probably paid itself back in a couple of years in the form of not having to do test strips and test prints. It takes a while to figure out, particularly as the designer wrote the manual!
Once working it is very simple to use and in 98% of the cases I get a uasable print with the first try. The other 2% would challenge any printer!

Interesting comment on the manual. One of Dr. Ross' selling points is a newly written easy to follow manual. The pro is next on list of darkroom goodies.

I've been using it for a over one year and it saves me untold amounts of time and paper costs. You have to put in the initial time in tweeking the calibration, which is a good exercise of itself, then you will be pleased as pudding. I recommend choosing what papers and chemicals your likely to use most and knocking the calibration off all at once. Once calibrated you can make a perfect working print with the first slice of paper and no need to componsate for exposure when changing contrast or scale. I also recommend the zone master a in combo. If you plan to print alot it is worth the cost and as Tom mentioned is likely to pay for itself in saved paper.

Many many people on are very happy with their RH timers. I'm very happy with my Darkroom Automation timer. I think in "STOPS" all the time, printing, exposure, lighting. It really makes sense. The Darkroom Automation timer is cheaper but I guess the ones who like the RH timers have a lot more $$ than I do.titrisol said:
