I bought my Canonet QL7 GIII about three weeks ago based on its good reputation and many good user reviews. I was shocked to realize that just after 3 rolls of film the shutter got stuck and won't fire anymore. I tried getting a quote from a repair shop here in Dallas... It would cost me 100 dls, about the same as the camera.
So I have been looking on the web for solutions and it seems many users have been able to fix this problem themselves. I have no tools other than screwdrivers, I have no spanner wrench and have had trouble finding one. But, more than that, I have no clear idea of how to unmount the lens to reach the shutter blades. I've read suggestions on how to do it, but it seems confusing... I wonder if anyone that has done this has any pictures of the process or something that can help me. The repair manual seems very confusing as well with those drawings
