I recently scored what looked like a nice Canon 28/2.8 lens. Turns out to have been reassembled at some point with incorrect parts, making RF focusing impossible. Essex Camera Services checked it out, but can't machine the parts needed. I sure Ken Ruth could, but I don't think the cost would be worth it.
The seller is willing to take the lens back for a refund, but I thought I'd check here first to see if anyone has a donor lens with bad glass that I might be able to get (cheap) for the missing parts. Otherwise it's back to the seller, and it won't likely ever get used.
I suppose the lens would work fine on a M-4/3 digital body, no need for the rf mechanism to couple with the rear of the lens, but I'd like this to work my RF bodies.
If anybody has a suitable Frankenlens donor, please drop me a line.
