Just sold my R-D1S having just gotten an M8. I am wondering whether to use the classified thread in RFF or ouch-bay (or somewhere else) to sell some R-D1S accessories that I still have. I would like to sell everything together, but one can't give a buyer an option to buy just one piece on the auction site . . . one needs to either list them together or separately. By the way, what I have are three original (not aftermarket) Epson batteries, an extra charger, an original unused epson leather camera case (everready style that can work as half case, too), and the auxiliary viewfinder magnifier optic from MS optical in Japan. Your opinions/comments/experiences would be much appreciated.

HI,
Good luck with your M8! I don't have a specific response to your "classified" question but just sent you a "private message" regading some of your items. Thanks!

The RFf classified are hit and miss.
Mostly miss IMHO.
If it is a recent listing and it appears as one of the five at the bottom of the main page then it is probably good ad placement but once it disappears into the bowels of the classified system I think falls into the category of "out of sight and out of mind" and it becomes far more difficult for seller and buyer to connect. [Run-on sentence.]
I have several items listed (i.e., a R-D1 grip, a R-D1 12mm VF, and a Leica Elmar lens) and have had zero nibbles. Even if I lower my prices now, I'm not sure how people who have dismissed my items as too pricey would ever know that.
All these items are destined for eBay sooner or later.

I had a followup private message to send you, but your mailbox needs to have some messages cleared before it can accept another message.

I too have just purchased an M8 and I am going to be selling my R-D1. It is hard to part with it as there are some things I like better about it but I can't aford both so one will have to go. By the way, my RF appears to be spot on and I tested focus with the two lens I have and the focus appears to be right on. The only accesory I have to sell is the 1.33x eyepiece which I find really helps and has the added benefit of being adjustable from a diopter view point. Oh yes, I have a couple of other items like a +3 diopter eyepiece and a Sunpak Auto 383 Flash unit, but I may keep the flash.

looks like we have a little ad action happening here...
dave, to bring your or any ad to the forfront you just need to make a comment and the ad is once again showing at the bottom of the page.
not centre stage but it gets some views this way.

Or you could hold on to em for awhile longer- it may save you the trouble and expense of purchasing them back again at a later date
