I just got a Kindermann 120 reel and was planning develop some b&w today. However, I played it for a hour by now and had no clue how to load film correctly...
The reel type is 3119 and has the middle insert thingy.
Please educate me...
Thank you

fbf-
Could you describe the 'middle insert thingy'?
I'm accustomed to stainless reels that have a spring loaded little clip on one of the wires like shown in the above link, but have seen pictures of another type.
Hope you can get it working!

fbf: I have to believe that if you sat down with a throwaway roll of 120 film and the reel in the daylight, you could figure it out.

You are going to do that in the daylight before you try in the dark with you good exposed roll, aren't you?

Keith: Thank you. I know how the normal 120 reel works but the Kindermann I got doesn't have the clip in the middle, instead, it's a weird "inserting system". I don't know how to describe it correctly. I will try to find a photo.

Bryce: The Kindermann 120 I got is different from regular reel and has no spring clip.

Vic: I have seen the whole series of videos the other day. Very helpful and entertaining !

Bob: yes, I was trying to load it in day light. I have tried many ways but I still can't figure out how to use the reel correctly.

Just found a picture to show.

NM, I finally did it... It's far from what I thought it would be and it's pretty hard to manage. I might just return it.
